About Me

My path towards natural healing and a holistic way of life has been a spiritual journey that has spanned my life time.
From a very young age, I can clearly remember a connection to a higher body of wisdom, one that has always guided the work that I do.
Following the birth of my son, I was propelled into a quest to find a better way of healing myself and those I love.

I graduated from Hampshire College in 2007 with a B.A. in Psychology and Herbal Medicine. I apprenticed at Blazing Star Herbal School, went on to complete a doula training with Warm Welcome Birth Serivces and study homebirth midwifery with Womancraft Midwifery. On a never ending journey into holistic medicine I have attended numerous workshops and completed several self-study and online courses in herbal medicine, nutrition, flower essences, aromatherapy and other healing modalities. I am currently studying with Aviva Jill Romm in her Herbal Medicine for Women course.
In 2010 I completed a 10 month training in support group facilitation with Motherwoman, as well as completing my Reiki training.

I currently work in private practice as a holistic healer, Reiki pracitioner and Shaman as well as at Karma in Northampton.

My Philosophy:
I believe that we each possess the unique capability to reach our highest potential and ultimate state of wholeness and healing. Through the use of numerous tools including holistic nutrition, the use of herbs in all of their forms, energy healing, meditation and guided soul journeying, I aim to hold a space in which you can do the healing work you seek.
As a practitioner I work with individuals to heal both the physical and emotional challenges present in their life as I see them not as separate concerns, but rather as an interconnected picture of who they are as a whole.
As a traditional healer, a large part of what I aim to do is to bring the knowledge of holistic ways of healing back into the hands of the community. For generations the knowledge of how to heal and nourish oneself with herbs, plants, food and meditation was passed down generation by generation. It was once part of our common knowledge. Through my work with individuals as well as through workshops and facilitated group experiences, I aim to restore this knowledge of healing oneself to the community that surrounds me. It is only when we gain the knowledge, skill and confidence to heal ourselves, that we become truly whole.

Please read my poem, I am a traditional healer, which was written as part of my senior thesis at Hampshire and speaks to the heart of how and why I practice holistic medicine. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31128329&id=1051196224shapeimage_1_link_0
