What is a Mother Blessing Ceremony?
A mother blessing or blessingway is based on a Navajo tradition honoring transformation. As an alternative to the traditional baby shower, the emphasis is on honoring the mother and journey into motherhood, be it for the first time or the tenth.
Often a blessingway will include activities or rituals involving the mother and her guests. The ceremony can be based around a specific religious practice, nature or something entirely individualized. A mother blessing ceremony can also become a hybrid of a traditional baby shower and a blessingway ceremony.
Generally, a mother blessing ceremony will be held at the end of pregnancy with the intent to fill the mother with the strength, love and support to continue her journey.

What role can I serve in your blessingway?
I can offer support at whatever level you desire. I am happy to help you plan your special day and work out the logistics of hosting a mother blessing. Alternatively, I can plan, host and lead your blessingway. Or my level of support and involvement can fall anywhere along the spectrum.

My services are available on an hourly basis based on time spent in planning the event and my involvement at the actual ceremony.

To set up a consultation to discuss plans for your mother blessing ceremony please call or email me. Thank you
